Syalon 110

Syalon 110 is an advanced silicon nitride (Si3N4) ceramic composite offering outstanding thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance to ferrous metals.

Syalon 110 thermocouple protection sheathsSyalon 110 is a composite grade silicon nitride based sialon ceramic originally developed as a break ring for the horizontal continuous casting of steel. As such, it's properties include improved corrosion resistance to steel over other silicon nitride ceramics, outstanding thermal shock resistance and is usable up to temperatures in excess of 1450°C.
